Today on Music Video Monday: “Solsbury Hill” live by Peter Gabriel
This is not a true “music video”, but rather a video of one of Peter Gabriel’s live performances. I can remember watching Peter Gabriel live on television as a youngster and being completely blown away. From what I understand, back in his Genesis days, Peter would orchestrate these very complicated theatrical performances, sometimes to the chagrin of his fellow bandmates. I have to say, though, I’m glad he never gave that up. (I mean, who else would take a fucking bicycle out mid-song and rides it around the stage?) His live shows are always such a treat to watch — probably the best performer, hands-down, alive today.
Go ahead and convince me otherwise! I’m open.
